Sophie Cook

Sophie is a part time assistant editor at The BMJ and a GP in north London. She qualified from Royal Free and University College Medical School in 2005. Sophie completed her foundation and general practice training in North London, working in a variety of specialties including paediatrics, general medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, intensive care, and palliative care. Sophie took a year out of clinical practice in 2009 to work at The BMJ as the Roger Robinson editorial registrar and remained at The BMJ part time while returning to complete her general practice training. Sophie became an assistant editor in February 2011 and currently works on the Education section of The BMJ. She holds a diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
