Joseph Freer


Joe qualified as a doctor from Imperial College London in 2012 and has an intercalated undergraduate degree in philosophy.

After completing his foundation medical training in London, he went to east Africa to take the Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and has since worked on research projects in Nepal, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.

He is The BMJ’s current editorial registrar and clinical fellow to the National Medical Director, sponsored by Professor Sir Bruce Keogh and managed by the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management.
